Daytrip to the Lago San Pablo
Just a few hours north of Quito lie lush volcanic highlands, witness sweeping views of Imbabura and Cotacachi Volcanoes rising above San Pablo Lake.
Historic roads leading to working haciendas and towering volcanoes with grassy slopes passing into the highlands and Otavalo.
Meeting place: Tumbaco / Chiviquí.
Time: 09:30h
Return: 5:30 p.m.

We start our tour along the Viva Route towards the parish of El Quinche to reach and cross to Cayambe where we continue, on a recently asphalted and little trafficked road, crossing this picturesque region through the towns of Olmedo and Zuleta, famous for the works in embroidery and beautiful landscapes of cultivation in mosaic forms, with horses, cows and llamas; adobe houses with red roofs where the peasants speak Quichua and use their traditional clothes daily. If it is a clear day we will see the Cayambe Volcano with its 5790 m of height.

On the way back, we take the road to Tabacundo where the Guayllabamba River accompanies us, where we climb and take advantage of the curves on the most expensive route in the world. We arrived in Tababela at the last break before arriving in Tumbaco.
